Recently, the world has faced the challenge of providing enough food for a growing population, especially in developing countries. The World Hunger Organisation (FAO) plays a key role in this process by bringing together industry and innovative companies.
Established in 1945, the FAO is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) dedicated to solving the world’s hunger and malnutrition problems.
In September, FAO is organizing a global conference on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanisation – FAO Global Conference on Sustainable Agricultural Mechanisation – at its headquarters in Rome, to discuss sustainability trends in the sector, with the participation of leading scientific institutions from around the world, as well as representatives from leading technology companies.
The Bulgarian technology company NIC, together with the leading Chinese manufacturer of agricultural drones XAG, will take part in the exhibition hall of the conference, where the flagship among the spraying drones, the XAG P100 model, suitable for small and large farms, as well as the autonomous agricultural robot XAG R150 with spraying system will be displayed.
XAG’s CEO will also take part in the conference, focusing on innovations in the field of agricultural drones and autonomous farming systems and their application to be more sustainable and in line with FAO’s goals. XAG prides itself on the fact that the technologies it produces are capable of increasing farmer productivity, reducing pesticide use and supporting sustainable rural development.
The conference will take place from 27-29 September at FAO headquarters in Rome.
