One of the largest agricultural companies in Northwestern Bulgaria, Zlatia Agro, has completely modernized it’s machine park with the latest generation of Trimble GPS equipment.
The first stage of the biggest precision agriculture project in Bulgaria was completed in January 2021. Zlatia Agro has equipped all their new John Deere tractors with Trimble GFX-750 displays with autopilot and 2 cm RTK accuracy. The tractors of the American brand’s 8-Series had been purchased without factory equipment and then were equipped with Trimble systems in time for the upcoming campaign.
The rest of the Zlatia Agro’s tractors are included in another stage of the project where all machines are being upgraded with Trimble GFX-750 display and autopilot systems as well.
To completely modernize the machine park, the Berthoud and Tecnoma sprayers and the Class combines, which have been operating with Trimble equipment for years, are also included in the project. In this way, the total number of agricultural machines that are working with the latest generation of Trimble GPS equipment would be more than 100.
Along with the Trimble GFX-750 display and autopilot systems, the agricultural machines of Zlatia Agro are also working with the software platform Trimble AutoSync.
“The automatic data exchange with AutoSync has been available for the Bulgarian farmers for years. With just a few clicks, the software exchanges guidance lines, field names, boundaries, operator information, VRA maps, location and other important information about the machines.” – Todor Shishkov, Commercial Director, NIK
„Our main goals with the Trimble equipment are the process automatization and cost optimization for better profitability. In addition, the data exchange between our machines and the office is becoming more important. The digitalization of the data exchange between all AutoSync-connected devices would allow better process planning and synchronization. It would also help us make informed and agile decisions.“ – Denislav Aleksandrov, Machine Park Manager, Zlatia Agro
“We are currently working with Zlatia Agro on another precision agriculture project as well. The soil sampling and analysis process has been implemented in the farm for several years. The results of the variable-rate fertilization are already visible. Using the agronomic service AgroBalance, Zlatia Agro achieves а reduction in fertilization costs, increased yields and improved soil reserves.
The partnership between the two companies proves that the Bulgarian farmers rely on complete solutions and a trustworthy partner to optimize their agricultural processes and achieve higher productivity.” – Kaloyan Kumanov, Business Development Manager, NIK
