Plamen Vladimirov is talking about his Kverneland iXtrack T4 sprayer

Plamen Vladimirov is from Vidin, Bulgaria and for about 20 years he has been working in the Agriculture. He grows cereals and oilseeds in the region of Vidin with his partner Borislav Gochev.

How long have you been working with Kverneland ?

We have been working with Kverneland equipment since NIK became Kverneland’s dealer in Bulgaria. Initially we purchased a fertilizer. Later we purchased two more fertilizers. This year we bought the Kverneland iXtrack T4 trailed sprayer.

Why did you choose the trailed model iXtract T4 ?

Honestly, we were looking for a specific machine. It had to be delivered in a very short time, as well. We had some specific requirements for the equipment of the sprayer. Our preliminary research has shown that Kverneland has the right machine we are looking for. Our main requirement was 36 mеtre booms because our technology (sowing, spraying, fertilizing) is based on this width. Another important requirement was that the track width should be 2.80 m. And most importantly, there is a section control – switching on and off of boom sections or individual nozzles. Section control is an incredible advantage! Kverneland iXtrack T4 meets all the requirements and we are very pleased that we found such a machine.

How do you evaluate the stability of the boom?

The Bоом Guide Pro system works very well with 5 sensors that provides constant height of the booms. The booms are very light. We usually spray at a height of 50-60 cm above the crops. The system is very helpful especially when spraying in windier weather. It minimizes the loss of pesticides and liquid fertilizers.

What are the differences between the trailed and the self-propelled sprayers you use?

In fact, we in no way give up the convenience of the self-propelled sprayer. On the contrary – the Kverneland iXtrack T4 sprayer is as good as a modern self-propelled sprayer. All extras are exactly the same. The only difference is that the price of the trailed sprayer is much more affordable.

How important is the connectivity for you?

For us, it is very important that the sprayer is ISOBUS compatible. We have a lot of agricultural machinery and we do not worry about which machine we will attach the sprayer.

Did you made the right choice with this machine?

I am very glad I did the right choice. Furthermore it was a decision that we had to make quite quickly so the machine to be delivered in a short time. I am glad that our partners were able to deliver the sprayer quickly. For us it is very important to spray with the machine exactly when necessary. I definitely have no regrets for our choice!
